Tor Farm is located at the base of Nyland Hill and you can access the footpath directly opposite the 1st car park. With outstanding views of the Somerset levels, Glastonbury Tor and Cheddar Reservoir it is definitely a walk to complete.
Rising from the moors a couple of miles to the east of Cheddar, Nyland Hill is one of a handful of ‘islands’ that would once have stood proud in the once flooded marshes.
Covered by trees, the hill is a fantastic place from which to look onto the wetlands and appreciate their beauty.
There is some evidence of earthworks, burials and mining activity protected by the trees and foliage.
